Psychoanalytical and Systemic
Psychotherapy Training Institute
The Psychoanalytical and Systemic Psychotherapy Institute is a training site dedicated to Edmond Gilliéron’s approach. A Lausanne-based psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Dr. Gilliéron has developed a highly original approach to psychotherapy that focuses on what prompts someone to consult a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, psychologist or psychotherapist. Following Gilliéron’s approach, a pathology is viewed in its somatic, intrapsychic, and environmental aspects essentially from a psychoanalytical and systemic perspective.
Edmond Gilliéron, founder and director of the Institute of European Research in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (IREP) in Rome, is an honorary professor at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and has been a visiting professor at Laval University and the University of Montreal, Quebec (Canada). Dr. Gilliéron has also published extensively on his research.
This website offers online training in Edmond Gilliéron’s approach and information about training sessions held during his visits to Quebec. For Quebec psychologists belonging to the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ), the sessions offered in Quebec and on line are accredited by the Order. It is therefore possible to obtain an attestation confirming the hours spent in training either online or face to face.
